pic_fakulti_bahasa_1The faculty of Languages and Communication is a legacy of the Department of Languages and Literature, Sultan Idris Training College (SITC) founded in 1922 with the aim of training and producing creative and innovative Malay and English language teachers. After undergoing various transformation for 89 yeras, the faculty at present has a wealth of invaluable language tresure such as the English Language Journal and the "Pendeta" Journal.

The Faculty of Languages and Communication was established in 1997. The programs introduced are aimed at training creative and innovative teachers. The prospective graduates are trained to acquire skills in language teaching and in carrying out research in languages and literature so as to broaden the knowledge of the languages. The faculty leadership provides guidance for indepth studies in the area of languages, culture and literature through the continuous research.

It is the aim of this faculty to be a centre for the promotion of knowledge in the training of graduates who are skilled in various modern languages
