ADMISSION
STUDENT INTAKE
For the Bachelors Degree Programme, student intakes take place twice a year, the First Semester intake (September) and the Second Semester intake (December). For the First Semester intake application may be made direct to the student admission management division, JPT (BPKP) at http://www.mohe.gov.my when the advertisement are published in the local newspaper. The applications can be made to :

MINIMUM ENTRY QUALIFICATIONS
The University offers addmission to student who are holder of the Malaysian Higher School Certificate (STPM or equivalent); the Malaysian Higher Islamic Religious Certificate (STAM or equivalent); Ministry of Education Matriculation (or equivalent); Diploma (or equivalent) through a course of studies of 8 semester (4 years) for those who have fulfilled the following conditions :
Passed the Malaysian School Certificate (SPM or equivalent) with a credit in Malay / Bahasa Malaysia or credit in Malay / Bahasa Malaysia July Paper;
and
Passed the Malaysian Higher School Certificate (or equivalent) with at least a CGPA of 2.00 and obtained at least :
• a Grade C (NGMP 2.00) for the General Studies paper;
and
• a Grade C (NGMP 2.00) for two (2) other subject;
or
Passed the Malaysian Ministry of Education Matriculation Examinations / University of Malaya Asasi Sains / UiTM Asasi with at least PNGK 2.00;
or
obtained at least a Jayyid Grade in Malaysian Higher Islamic Religious Certificate Examination (STAM)
or
obtained a Diploma in the area of specialization which is relevant to the course or programme applied for from the institute of learning recognized by the Malaysian Government and the University Senate and obtained at least a CGPA of 2.50;
and
Obtained at least Band 1 grade in the Malaysian University English Test (MUET).
ADDITIONAL CONDITIONS FOR ENTRY TO THE EDUCATION PROGRAMME
Additional Conditions for Application for the Education Programme for Service with the Ministry of Education Malaysia (KPM)
1. Open to Malaysian Citizen ONLY
2. Applicants must not exceed the age of 30 during the year application is made.
3. The applicants must be certified to be in good health by Government Health Clinic report and free of any mental or physical disorders and is able to follow all the courses structured for the programme of his/her choice.
Laws and Regulations
Students in Malaysia are protected by the Malaysian Law under the University and University College Act 1971. The Act makes provision covering the behavior and dress codes, plagiarism, finance, crime and road trafic regulations.
Drug abuse and related activities are a major crime in Malaysia and heavy penalties are imposed on those found guilty.

Malaysian Citizen Applicants
Students are advised to check newspapers for the advertisements from the Ministry of Education and the UPSI website for both September and December intakes.
September Intake
All applications for UPSI operate via the applications line system of the Ministry of Higher Studies http://www.mohe.gov.my. Student are required to buy the UNIQUE ID (password) from the Bank Simpanan Nasional (BSN).
December Intake
All applicants for UPSI December Intake direct to UPSI Application System from our own website http://www.upsi.edu.my/online. Student are required to buy the BITARA ID (password)for December Intake from the Bank Simpanan Nasional (BSN).
Foreigner Applicants
The online applications can be made from our website http://www.upsi.edu.my/online

The deadline to submit the verification of online application and documents to UPSI : CLOSED
Candidates may update or change the programmes or courses via online application by using the same BITARA ID number.
